Just for a moment, I let go of the worries, the disappointments, the plans, the successes. I let go of the yesterday and I let go of the tomorrow.
I am in this moment now. And nothing else exists. I breathe and am in this breath. And now I am present to this next breath. I breathe and connect with my Higher Power, my True Self and there is nothing out of place. There is nothing but perfection in this moment. I bring this present moment with me as I enter my day. It will be a wonderful day..
Just for a moment.. take a slow breath in through your nose. Hold it a little. Breathe out slowly through your mouth. Do it again and focus on the air coming in, filling you, then leaving you.
Think of nothing else. Focus on the breath. If other thoughts come up, acknowledge their presence and let them go. Focus on the breathe. You are here, right here and right now. There is nothing as important or as profound as the amazing thing called life that you are experiencing right now. Focus on the breath. You are a beautiful piece of poetry full of potential. You are and awesome bringer of light to the corner where you live. Enjoy your life. Focus on the breath. Enjoy your now.

Just for a moment sit and let go of all thoughts, all worries, all accomplishments.
Breathe out everything you think of yourself, good and bad. Now breathe in focusing on this moment. Feel the air fill your lungs and diaphragm. Feel the connection to the earth below you and the sky above you. Breathe out your self and breathe in your Higher Self. Let yourself let go of you and catch hold of the connection with all living beings.
Let that connection strengthen you, empower you and give you peace..
Just for a moment, sit comfortably in your chair, your feet flat on the floor, your back straight and your hands comfortably at your sides.
Take a deep slow breathe through your nostrils, relaxing as you draw the air in. Hold it for a few seconds and then let it go slowly through your slightly opened mouth. Repeat this. Evenly. Slowly. Let each part of your body relax. From your head down to your feet. Let every part of you get relaxed and heavy and settled where it is.
Then, feel the connection your feet have with the floor. Feel the solidness of the floor. Let that feeling of groundedness rise up into your feet. Let it slowly go up your legs, through your torso, up along your spine, into your chest, up your neck and then releasing through the top of your head. Imagine it like a string that connects your feet to the floor and your head to the heavens. Let the string be your anchor, your energy. your calm. As you go through your day, keep going back to the string and be grounded, peaceful, open for possibility and compassion.
I'm sitting at my community center waiting for a meeting with a local Democratic Club. I've always been more inclined to be more personal and individual with my political views, showing support for a politician on my own. But this year, it's a very different ball game.
We are looking at two very distinct directions our country can go in depending on who will be in the white house and who will be the majority in congress. In the past, the choices have been on a more fluid, more individual by individual basis. But those days are gone and party platforms are very clear what is important and not important to them. And I must follow my conscious and be active in supporting the party that is about equality, personal freedoms, responsibility for one another, including speaking up for those that have no voice.
I can't sit and watch my country be overrun by an elite that is only about the rich getting richer and promised rights from our constitution only be available for the preferred class or sex or social 1%.
So, I plan to do phone calling, precinct walking, journaling, sharing and educating in the next two months to ensure that come January 2013, all of us will matter, all of us will be recognized and all of us will continue to have the same chance to life, love and the pursuit of happiness.
For just a moment, sit and do nothing. For just a moment, listen to your breath. Let thoughts come and and go. Let sounds in and around you come and go. Just sit and relax and breathe. Be in this moment, fully in it and fully in your body instead of your mind. Just sit and relax and breathe..
